Abstract:
The new variety has stabilized agronomic characters of tidy field growth, a tower shaped plant type, a long elliptic shaped leaf type and 194~203 days of growth duration after transplanting. Both agronomic character and economic character are better in performing than those of former main varieties of Xanthi Basma and Komatini Basma. The leaves ripe very well and are easy to cure. The variety leaves were mainly in orange color, appropriate thickness, good or rich oil, nice apparent quality. The content and the ratio of major chemical components were suitable, and the quality of smoking was beyond middle. Comprehensive smoking quality was better than that of Xanthi Basma and Komatini Basma. The new variety has broad resistances and low probability of incidence of diseases in natural field, and it has high resistance to bacterial leaf spot.
